Panic

I live in Victoria, BC Canada. On Monday there were torrential rains in the Province that broke records all over the place, including washing out major highways and trade routes. Today, people are panic buying gas and most likely a lot of other items in stores (probably including toilet paper).

Just like when the pandemic hit, people are panicking. But what is the point?

There isn't one. People panic when they are afraid and feeling vulnerable. Is there an answer? I don't know, but I know the Dalai Lama once said "has all your worrying ever changed anything?"

I know this is "off script", but it's likely to affect my community and the people that live there, until it all calms down...

As an aside...I have started on the next novella and it's an interesting ride so far.
