Half way through...

I'm almost halfway through the novella and finding that I'm constantly re-thinking about what happens next. Like real life, I'm looking at the flow of things and "what happens next" is up to the characters. Sometimes it comes easy and other times it's tiring.

I had a great conversation with an artist friend about how much energy it takes to produce even a small amount of work - a sketch, small painting, short scene in a book, small piece of poetry. I think that no matter what creative activity you're involved with there is an energy drain that is part of a natural process.
