Cliff Hanging

I'm struggling with this concept, but I want to incorporate it more in my writing. The idea of leaving a reader hanging at the end of once chapter or scene that gets them interested in continuing into the next scene. It's not rocket science, but I think it's a useful tool to engage a reader.
Working more on the Novella and the last chapter was exhausting. As an Empath, I tend to feel the same things as the protagonist, and that chapter was intense. Good feeling getting it done and looking/not looking forward to the main character getting deeper into the cult.
